Bringing Hope and Sustainable Change

Bafenyi Trust is registered as a non-profit organization (NPO) and Public Benefit Organization (PBO) based in Potchefstroom. Founded in 2010, we are passionate and driven towards community development in Ikageng, Promosa, and Potchefstroom. We want to see the lives of disadvantaged and hopeless people transformed by equipping and empowering them to become positive, contributing members of society.

Our Vision & Mission

A Vision of Hope, A Mission of Change

Our Approach

What Makes Us Different

Accountability

We are committed to transparency and accountability in all our endeavors. Every donation received is handled with responsibility and honesty, ensuring that resources are utilized effectively to benefit those we serve.

Compassion

Central to our ethos is the practice of loving others unconditionally, following the example set by Jesus Christ. By extending kindness and compassion to those in need, we foster an environment of care and support.

Commitment

Through our new community centre in Promosa, we offer a space for training, collaboration, and connection. Partnering with groups like Feisty Females and Fire and Fragrance South Africa, we expand our impact and strengthen the community.

Our Programs

Feeding Scheme

Hunger and malnutrition can hinder one’s ability to work or attend school, so we are committed to serving our beneficiaries a nutritious meal. We feed around 1000 beneficiaries each week through the feeding scheme. For us, it’s not just about filling stomachs—it’s about building a foundation for healthier, stronger, and more resilient futures.

Kids Club

Providing safe spaces where kids are loved, fed, mentored, cared for, taught, and can encounter God through Bible teaching and life skills training.

We minister to more than 700 children ages 4 to 14 at different locations around Ikageng and Promosa each week. The children are also given an opportunity to develop their gifts through the talent development program.

Adult Program

We have weekly discipleship groups where we minister the word of God and teach life skills to about 300 adults at different locations in Potchefstroom, Ikageng, and Promosa. We desire to see the adults become responsible, kind, compassionate, and God-fearing individuals who will positively impact society.

After-School Program

Mathematics and English are foundational subjects that support other areas of learning. Unfortunately, some of our children attending primary school struggle to read, comprehend content, or apply basic numeracy methods. The program supports about 25 primary school learners after school.
